Why was Sampson wrong?

The beginning of doubt about the theory of retrograde menstruation began with the research of the American physician David Redwine of Bend in Oregon. He was one of the first in the world to question this theory that has so far not helped women with endometriosis, and has induced inappropriate treatments, such as hormonal treatments and cauterization of endometriosis, without improvement in pain and fertility.
